Sometimes dreams come true ……

In the summer of 2003 we traveled through Indonesia for three months. We immediately fell in love with the country. On Lombok you will find beautiful nature and culture in all its unspoiltness. The warmth of the people made us feel immediately at home.

We built Sunset Villa on a mountainside, in the middle of nature, but close to the village of Setangi. From the veranda you have a beautiful view. If you look to the left or right, you will see the untouched tropical nature on the mountain slopes of Lombok. But if you look ahead, you see a cluster of palm trees and the ocean shimmering towards you through the trees. In the distance you can even see the mountains of Bali.

Sunset Villa is a family villa for 8 people and a toddler bed can be placed in consultation.

A perfect holiday home with private pool and direct access to the main coastal road.

In a quiet natural environment within walking distance (300 meters) of a beautiful white sandy beach.

Because the villa needed renovation, we decided to do this in 2022. The total renovation, both inside and outside, will be completed in the spring of 2023. And we are certainly proud of the result. If you are curious, click on the following link for the video:

 

The Villa

Great western cuisine. Naturally, it is fully equipped and fully furnished.

Four spacious bedrooms with a total of 8 beds. Two bedrooms with a king size bed, one bedroom with a queen size bed and one bedroom with two single beds. All bedrooms have a spacious wardrobe, desk and bedside tables and are equipped with air conditioning.

Two bathrooms with shower, toilet and sink. The large bathroom also has a washing machine. Bed linen, towels, etc. are of course provided.

There is also a high chair for your small child.

For internet you can use the WiFi connection in the villa. Usage is free up to 30 Gb per week. The manager can provide additional data for the WiFi router in the villa for a fee. For a small fee you can also purchase a local SIM card for telephone/internet traffic, so that you are online everywhere (including during tours).

At the front of the villa there is a large veranda of 13 meters long and 4 meters wide, which is surrounded by a balustrade and offers beautiful views in all directions of the beautiful garden of the villa and the lovely large swimming pool. A lockable gate guarantees the safety of children.

The service

The staff is available to assist you day and night. The house is kept clean, your beds made and the garden and pool maintained. The staff does everything they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible, without violating your privacy.

Your hostess speaks some English and will ensure that you are not short of anything. The gardener maintains the garden and the pool crew maintains the pool. From sunset onwards, security keeps an eye on things. The good English-speaking manager will do everything he can to meet your wishes and can provide you with extensive information about Lombok.

The cook is available in the villa upon request. If you wish, she can provide all your meals, both Indonesian and Western, at a reasonable price. She can also provide cooking lessons.

Cleaning of the villa, including washing and changing of bed linen is included.

In consultation with the hostess, it is possible that your personal clothing can be washed for a reasonable fee. Guests are not allowed to operate the washing machine themselves.

If you are very satisfied with the staff, feel free to reward them with a small tip.

 

General information

Minimum stay is two nights.

Check-in from 3:00 PM.

Check out no later than 11am.

These times can be discussed with the manager if there are no other guests arriving or leaving on the same day.

 

It is possible to arrange transport to and from the airport or port through us. The manager will then arrange transfer at a local rate. Deal with him. For this it is necessary that you inform us about the correct flight or (fast) boat travel details and expected arrival time.

The owner is not liable for theft or accidents. For this you must take out cancellation and/or travel insurance yourself.

 

If the tenant causes damage to the house or contents, or loses the owner’s belongings (such as a key), the tenant will be held liable.

You will be charged for repair or replacement and must be paid to the manager.

 

Tours and trips

The manager can tell you everything about the island. He was previously tour leader on Lombok.

Lombok is versatile and always different. You can arrange tours and trips with him.

Some recommendations:

Gili islands (snorkeling, diving), Kuta beach, Sasak village, monkey forest, several beautiful waterfalls, artisanal pottery, plantations, climbing Rinjani, Pink Beach and the various beautiful snorkeling islands. We can promise you that you can admire more than 100 different species of fish while snorkeling in very calm water in Gili Nanggu!!!

Rates in euros:

(same price all year round, so no surcharges during high season)

Price per night €100 (up to 6 persons)

For more than 6 people, a surcharge of €10 per person per night applies.

For bookings of at least one week, a discount of 10% applies to the rental price.

For bookings of at least one month, a discount of 15% applies to the rental price.

Children up to 2 years stay free.

Deposit (50%) within 7 days. Remaining payment 45 days before arrival date.
